The High-Tech Professional programs at BCIT's Downtown Campus bring people, technology and opportunity together. HTP programs are as thorough as they are diverse, with offerings that include network administration and security, web design and development, tech support, office administration software skills upgrading, and web application development. They are also known and respected for being in step with current trends in both business and technology.

Network Administration and Security Professional


NASP

The Network Administration and Security Professional program is an intensive, accelerated 12- month program that prepares students for a career in network administration and security. The technology focus emphasizes on Windows, Linux environments and security; hardware, server/storage and networking tools; and project management.

Office Administrator with Technology


OAT

The Office Administrator with Technology program is designed to provide learners with the advanced computer and business skills required by administrative positions today. Its focus is on desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop Element, Dreamweaver as well as a variety of practical business courses.

Technology Support Professional


TSP

The Technology Support Professional program is designed to combine the technical, customer service, and professional skills needed to excel in the constantly growing IT support field.

Software Systems Developer


SSD

The Software Systems Developer program allows students to learn techniques in application development, be exposed to several current web technologies, and apply system development "best practices" to design and develop usable, effective web applications and web sites.

Technical Web Designer


TWD

The Technical Web Designer program allows students to learn techniques in creating sites that are not only visually appealing but are also accessible, usable, and standards compliant. Using current web design trends including the most popular Content Management Systems, software, and SEO/Analytics, students will develop a variety of sites.
